Turtleskin® Water Armor
Comprises: |
| |
| |
• |
A segmented panel personal armour system which gives outstanding
protection against an accidental strike from a UHP water jet. |
| |
| |
• |
Turtleskin® is manufactured by a body armour specialist and uses
Kevlar® woven to the tightest weave ever achieved. |
| |
| |
• |
The system consists of multiple panels to protect feet; legs;
chest and arms if required. |
| |
| |
• |
Depending on the water blasting task, protection of only the metatarsal
(upper) area of the feet might be required. |
| |
| |
• |
Panels can be replaced individually if damaged making the system highly cost-effective. |
| |
| |
• |
Protection is designed to be offered to the front of the operator –
the open back design allows ventilation in hot environments making work possible in many
environments where a enclosed protective suit would be intolerable. |

for water jetting applications.
We can provide the correct protective clothing for HP and UHP water blasting and wet abrasive
blasting.
Safety goggles; hard hats with full face visor protection and ear defenders are all available
from Aquablast at very competitive prices. We have an excellent choice of wetsuits ranging
from utility ‘one-job’ suits to the toughest and most flexible – and comfortable – suits
available anywhere. We deliver fast and can ship anywhere in the world.
Turtleskin® has a tough outer layer which is easily washed.
Note that a flexible armour system like Turtleskin® cannot guarantee total protection
against a sustained waterjet impact but it will, from experience, prevent penetration
from glancing blows of waterjets as powerful as 55,000 psi (3,800 bar) at 8 litres per
minute (2 gpm) water flow. It is unquestionably the best and most user-friendly protection
available.
